Potassium Sorbate is normally used prior to bottling wine but can be used in any fermented beverage. Potassium Sorbate inhibits further fermentation by preventing yeast cell division. It can be used prior to bottling to prevent bottle carbonation. it can also be used to stop fermentation and leave residual sweetness to make a sweet wine, mead or cider. Use 0.3 tsp per gallon to inhibit further fermentation
